SUMMARY OF CHANGES
This document has been revised to remove acronyms and to change the responsibility for the
Item Reduction Program from major commands and field operating agencies to the Deputy Chief
of Staff for Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection (AF/A4). This revision also clarifies
the scope of the Defense Standardization Program and Department of Defense policy for using
and developing non-government standards.
