The Air Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (AFTTP) 3-42 series of publications is the
primary reference for expeditionary medical support capability. AFTTP 3-42.77 provides tactics,
techniques, and procedures for the following unit type codes (UTCs):
FFGST, Ground Surgical Team (GST)
FFGS1, Ground Surgical Equipment
The doctrine in this document is authoritative but not directive. It applies to all Air Force military
and civilian personnel, including Air Force Reserve Command and Air National Guard units.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary
Responsibility (OPR) using AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication. Route
AF 847 through the appropriate functional chain of command and parent major command. Ensure
