The Air Force Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (AFTTP) 3-42 series of publications is the
primary reference for medical combat support capabilities. This document builds upon AFTTP
3-42.5, Aeromedical Evacuation, by providing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) for the
Aeromedical Evacuation Command Squadron (AECS) identified by Unit Type Codes (UTC)
FFQCC. This publication applies to all Air Force military personnel in the Regular Air Force,
Air Reserve Component (ARC), and Air Force civilian personnel (Air National Guard [ANG] is
considered to be a Major Command [MAJCOM] in this publication). The doctrine in this
document is authoritative but not directive. Ensure all records created as a result of processes
prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual 33-363,
Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition
Schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System. Refer
recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary
Responsibility using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication. Route AF
Form 847 through the appropriate chain of command and parent MAJCOM. This publication
