MEMORANDUM FOR CFETP 2A5X4 REFUEL/BOMBER AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
SPECIALTY
FROM: AF/A4LM Crew Chief CFM
1030 Air Force Pentagon
Washington, DC 20330-1030
SUBJECT: Air Force 2A5X4 Aircraft Maintenance Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear
(CBRN) Air Force Specialty (AFS) Specific Task Qualification Training (TQT)
1.
In accordance with Department of the Air Force Instruction 10-2501, Emergency Management
Program, paragraph 2.12., Career Field Managers will identify wartime tasks to be performed and task-
certified while wearing MOPP 4 CBRN individual protective equipment. These wartime training tasks are
considered task qualification training and will be identified in the Aircraft Maintenance career field
education and training plans (CFETP).
2.
TQT is training in which individuals perform wartime mission essential tasks in a simulated wartime
environment while wearing MOPP 4 CBRN individual protective equipment. The mandatory TQT tasks
for the 2A5X4 Aircraft Maintenance AFS are listed in Attachment 1. These tasks are the minimum TQT
requirement for that respective AFS. Commanders may identify more wartime training tasks for each
AFS in order to meet their mission need. These tasks will be identified on the work center’s 797 and that
training will be recorded on the 797 in the Air Force approved electronic training record system (e.g.,
TBA or myTraining). Members previously certified on tasks in Attachment 1 are not required to be
recertified. Any designated TF coded unit or any designated test organization is exempt from this TQT
requirement unless deemed necessary by the unit commander.
3.
Training managers and/or work center supervisors will use Attachment 1 to create an electronic 797 in
the Air Force approved electronic training record system to identify the TQT requirements and document
that training in each Airman’s training record once the training is completed.
4.
