SUBJECT: Department of the Air Force Guidance Memorandum (DAFGM) to DAFI 44-119,
Medical Quality Operations
By Order of the Secretary of the Air Force, this Department of the Air Force Guidance
Memorandum immediately changes AFI 44-119, Medical Quality Operations, 16 August 2011.
Compliance with this Memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are inconsistent
with other Air Force publications, the information herein prevails, in accordance with DAFI 90-
160, Publications and Forms Management. To the extent this publication is inconsistent with
Defense Health Agency-Procedures Manual (DHA-PM) 6025.13, Clinical Quality Management
in the Military Health System, Volumes 1-7, the DHA-PM supersedes policy in this GM.
This Air Force Guidance Memorandum updates Tools, Information Sources and other
references. It changes offices symbols from the Air Force Medical Operations Agency
(AFMOA) to the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA) and AFLOA/JACC to
AF/JACC. It deletes the term Health Integrity and Protection Data Bank (HIPDB) and the
Defense Practitioner Data Bank (DPDB).
This Memorandum becomes void after one year has elapsed from the date of this
Memorandum, or upon publication of an interim change or rewrite of the affected publication,
whichever is earlier.
