This manual implements Department of the Air Force (DAF) policy directive (DAFPD) 11-2,
Aircrew Operations; and DAFPD 11-4, Aviation Service. It applies to all B-1 units. This
publication applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force
and the Air Force Reserve. It does not apply to the Air National Guard. Compliance with the
attachments in this publication is mandatory. This manual requires the collection and/or
maintenance of information protected by the Privacy Act of 1974, authorized by Title 37 United
States Code (USC) Section 301a, Incentive Pay; aviation career; Public Law (PL) 92-204,
Section 715, Department of Defense Appropriations Act for 1972; PL 92-570 Department of
Defense Appropriations Act for 1973; PL 93-294, Aviation Career Incentive Act of 1974; and
Executive Order 13478, Amendments to Executive Order 9397 Relating to Federal Agency Use
