This publication implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, is
consistent with AFPD 11-4, Aviation Service, and references Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 11-202,
Volume 1 (V1), Aircrew Training. This publication establishes effective and safe operations of
the F-16. This publication applies to all F-16 units in the Regular Air Force, Air National Guard
(ANG) and Air Force Reserve (AFR). This publication does not apply to the United States Space
Force. Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere
to Air Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and
are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in
the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the office of primary
responsibility (OPR) using the Air Force (AF) Form 847, Recommendation for Change of
Publication; route AF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate functional chain of
command. Air Combat Command (ACC)/ Directorate of Operations (A3) will coordinate all
changes to the basic volume with all major command (MAJCOM)/A3s. This publication may be
supplemented at any level, but route all direct supplements to Air Force Flight Standards Agency
(AFFSA) and ACC Flight Operations and Training Branch (ACC/A3TO) for coordination prior to
certification and approval. Field units below MAJCOM/direct reporting unit (DRU)/field
operating agency (FOA) level forward copies of their supplements of this publication to their
parent MAJCOM/ DRU/FOA OPR for post-publication review. Copies of MAJCOM/DRU/FOA-
level supplements, after approval and publishing, will be made available on the e-Publishing
website at https://www.e-publishing.af.mil. The authorities to waive wing/unit level
