Department

Defense
and
its
agencies
out

the

2020

Addition-

the
scenarios,

design,
are
useful
to
other
departments
of
the
U.S.
Government,

academia.
Forecasts
developed
for
this
report
use
a
technique
created
by
the
author
for
monitoring
past,
present,
and
future
global
trends
and
events,
which
he
molds
into
plausible
and
thought-provoking
scenarios

the
United
States
in
the
world's
societies
of
tomorrow.
These

that
