Note on methodology: This memo identifies Chinese nationals serving as the heads of key
international organizations and in other top leadership positions in
principal organs, UN funds and programs, UN specialized agencies, other UN e
bodies, and international trade and financial institutions. Top leadership positions are broadly
defined as positions at the board of directors and senior management team level. United Front
connections are defined as membership of groups known to carry out China’s united front work,
or honors at high profile united front events. This document reflects data as of February 2, 2024,
and will be updated on a semiannual basis.
