1. REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE
This Directive reissues and renames reference (a) to:
1.1. Update policies governing DoD participation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
(NATO) Security Investment Program (NSIP).
1.2. Assign responsibilities for DoD participation in the NSIP.
2. APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE
This Directive applies to:
2.1. The Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments (including their
Reserve components), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the
