1. PURPOSE
1.1. Pursuant to the authorities provided in reference (a), this Directive establishes the
Senior Readiness Oversight Council (SROC) and assigns membership, associate membership,
and functions consistent with reference (b).
1.2. This Directive supercedes reference (c).
1.3. Nothing in this Directive limits or otherwise affects the authority, direction, and
control of the Secretary of Defense over the Department of Defense, or the Defense Agency and
DoD Field Activity oversight responsibilities of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, or the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as required by reference (a).
2. APPLICABILITY
This Directive applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector
General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all
other organizational entities within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively
as "the DoD Components").
