Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5134.01, this issuance:
• Implements policy to execute effectively public-private partnerships (PPPs), as authorized by
Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.).
• Assigns responsibilities and provides procedures for the Military Departments for the
implementation of PPPs pursuant to DoD Directive 4151.18 and DoD Directive 5000.01.
