The Air Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (AFTTP) presented in this publication
provide Air Force (AF) civil engineer fire and emergency services (F&ES) personnel with
information to help prepare their installations for disasters and war. It highlights F&ES
preparations in contingency and expeditionary firefighting planning factors and operational
considerations. The material presented in this publication is not intended to provide detailed
operational procedures; rather it addresses general firefighter preparations for natural and
manmade accidents, terrorism, and war. Refer recommended changes and questions about this
publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using the AF form 847,
Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Form 847 from the field through the
appropriate functional chain of command and Major Command (MAJCOM) publications/forms
managers. Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication
adhere to Air Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance
Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule,
which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System. The use of the name
or mark of any specific manufacturer, commercial product, commodity, or service in this
