14. ABSTRACT
This Test Operations Procedure (TOP) provides background information on physiological and psychological effects of
cold on the human. It is an overview TOP and is organized to provide information on some of the problems associated
with conducting operations, training, testing, and living in a cold environment. Rather than test procedures, it provides
needed knowledge to safely conduct tests in the cold environment.
