1.SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.I -. This specification covers valve9 for automatically venting air tlom mains in steam
heating aysiems.
1.2 Classification. Valves atrtdlbe one of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Without vacuum holding device
Type II - Wkh vacuum holding device.

- Low pressure - up to 15 pound-force per square inch gage (psig)
(103.4 kilopaacal (kPa)).
Class 2-
Medum pressure - 16t065psig (110.3 to 448.2 IcF’a).
Claas 3 - High pressure
-66 to 125 psig (445.1 IcPato 861.8 IcPa).
