FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
PLASTIC FILM, FLEXIBLE, VINYL CHLORIDE
This specification was approved by the Commissioner, Federal Supply Service, General
Services Administration, for use of all Federal Agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers two type of flexible vinyl plastic film.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Types and classes. Vinyl plastic film shall be of the following types and
classes, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - For use in a temperature range of 0 deg. to 130 deg F.
(-17.8 deg. to 54.4 deg. C.)
Class 1 - Colorless
Class 2 - Colored
Type II - For use in a temperature range of -40 deg. to 130 deg. F.
(-40 deg. to 54.4 deg. C.)
Class 1 - Colorless
Class 2 - Colored
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
