QQ-A-200/10E, dated 28 August 1983, is hereby canceled. Future acquisition for this material should refer
to the following:
For aerospace and unspecified applications use SAE Aerospace Materials Specification (AMS)
AMS-QQ-A-200/10, “Aluminum Alloy 6066, Bar, Rod, Shapes, Tube, and Wire, Extruded
UNS A96066”.
For non-aerospace applications use American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
specifications ASTM B241/B241M, “Standard Specification for Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy
Seamless Pipe and Seamless Extruded Tube”, for Type I; ASTM B221, “Standard Specification for
Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Extruded Bars, Rods, Wire, Profiles, and Tubes”, for Type II.
