FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
ALUMINUM ALLOY, BAR, ROD, SHAPES, STRUCTURAL SHAPES,
TUBE AND WIRE, EXTRUDED, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR
QQ-A-200E and associated slash sheets, dated 6 NOVEMBER 1980, NOTICE 1
DATED 30 OCTOBER 1991, NOTICE 2 DATED 21 APRIL 1995, AND NOTICE 3 DATED 16
JUNE 1995, are hereby canceled. Future acquisitions for this product should
refer to the following:
For aerospace and unspecified applications use SAE Aerospace
Materials Specification (AMS) AMS-QQ-A-200E, “Aluminum Alloy,
Bar, Rod, Shapes, Structural Shapes, Tube and Wire, Extruded;
General Specification” and associated Detail Specifications.
For non-aerospace applications use American Society for Testing
and Materials (ASTM) Specification ASTM B221, “Aluminum and
Aluminum-Alloy Bar Extruded Bars, Rods, Shapes and Tubes” except
for Aluminum-Alloy 6061, Tempter T6, use ASTM B308 “Aluminum-
Alloy 6061-T6 Standard Structural Shapes”.
(DoD activities may obtain copies of ASTM B221, ASTM B241, ASTM B308 and
AMS-QQ-A-200E publications from Customer Service, Defense Printing Service
