ALUMINUM ALLOY, BAR, ROD, SHAPES, STRUCTURAL SHAPES,
TUBE AND WIRE, EXTRUDED, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR
QQ-A-200E, dated 6 November 1980, is hereby canceled. Future acquisition for this material should refer
to the following:
For aerospace and unspecified applications use SAE Aerospace Materials Specification (AMS)
AMS-QQ-A-200, “Aluminum Alloy, Bar, Rod, Shapes, Structural Shapes, Tube, and Wire,
Extruded: General Specification”.
For non-aerospace applications use American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
specifications ASTM B241/B241M, “Standard Specification for Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy
Seamless Pipe and Seamless Extruded Tube,” for Type I; ASTM B221, “Standard Specification
for Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Extruded Bars, Rods, Wire, Profiles, and Tubes”, for Type II;
and ASTM B308/B308M, “Standard Specification for Aluminum-Alloy 6061-T6 Standard
Structural Profiles”, for structural profiles aluminum-alloy 6061, Temper T6.
