FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
TREADS, METALLIC AND NONMETALLIC, SKID-RESISTANT
This specification is approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply Service, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers skid-resistant treads made of rubber,
vinyl, aluminum alloy, and cast iron.
1.2 Classification. Treads covered by this specification will be of the
following compositions and types as specified (see 1.3 and 6.2)
