FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
WALL BASE: RUBBER, AND VINYL PLASTIC
This specification was approved by the Commissioner, Federal Supply
Service, General Services Administration, for the use of all Federal
agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers both rubber and vinyl plastic wall
base used to provide a functional as well as decorative border between walls
and floors.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Tapes. Wall base shall be of the following types as specified
(see 6.1).
Type:
I--Rubber.
II--Vinyl plastic.
1.2.2 Styles. Wall base shall be of the following styles as specified
(see 6.1).
Style:
A--Straight.
B--Cove.
1.2.3 Dimensions. Wall base shall be furnished in any combination of
the following thicknesses, heights, and lengths as specified (see 6.1).
