SATELLITE SYSTEMS NATURAL AND NUCLEAR ENVIRONMENT STANDARD
MIL-STD-3053, The Satellite System Natural and Nuclear Environment Standard (SSNS-E), is a classified
(SECRET//RD//CNWDI) document with controlled distribution. To receive MIL-STD-3053, you must
demonstrate need-to-know and verify that you can receive and store SECRET//RD//CNWDI information.
Example verification would be a Visit Authorization Request (VAR) on file with DTRA/SCC-WMD. Also,
identify how the classified information should be transmitted to you: SIPRNET, Joint Worldwide
Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), or Compact Disk (CD) via Certified U.S. Mail.
