This mission directive implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 38-1, Manpower and
Organization. Its purpose is to define the mission, command structure, and responsibilities of
Twentieth Air Force (20 AF). This publication applies to Headquarters, 20 AF. This publication
does not apply to Air Reserve Component units. This publication may not be supplemented.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the office of primary
responsibility using AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Forms
847 from field units through the appropriate functional chain of command. Ensure all records
generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction
(AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed of
in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air
Force Records Information Management System.
