This mission directive implements AFI 38-101, Manpower and Organization, and defines the
mission of Headquarters (HQ) Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Field Operating Agencies
(FOA). This mission directive applies to AFMC Regular Air Force, AFMC civilian employees,
and those with a contractual obligation to abide by the terms of its issuance. This mission directive
does not apply to Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, or United States Space Force
units. Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are
maintained in accordance with AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance
Program, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located
in the AF Records Information Management System. Refer recommended changes and questions
about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility using the DAF Form 847,
Recommendation for Change of Publication; route DAF Forms 847 from the field through the
appropriate functional chain of command. HQ AFMC/A1 is the waiver authority for compliance
items in this publication. Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the
publication OPR for consideration. This mission directive may not be supplemented.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES
This revision updates the previous edition dated 13 January 2017. Major changes to this edition
include the removal of the AFMC Logistics Support Office. This office is no longer a FOA to HQs
AFMC. Other changes were made to the individual missions of the AFMC Law Office (AFMCLO)
