SUBJECT: Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Guidance Memorandum (GM) to AFI 21-
101_AFMCSUP.
By order of the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, this AFMC Guidance Memorandum
immediately changes AFI 21-101_AFMCSUP, Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management, dated
10 November 2020. Compliance with this Memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are
inconsistent with other AFMC publications, the information herein prevails, in accordance with DAFI 90-
160, Publications and Forms Management. Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed
in this publication are maintained in accordance with AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information
Governance Program, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule
located in the Air Force Records Management System.
This GM implements changes to add reorganization implementation of Air Force Materiel
Command Programming Plan 21-01 dated 31 May 2021, Servicing Major Command for Airmen
Assigned to the United States Space Force (USSF), in support of USSF by a 26 October 2020 Secretary
of the Air Force Memorandum for Record titled, “United States Space Force Base Operations Support
(BOS)” jointly signed by the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and Chief of
Space Operations. The resulting reorganization transferred USSF responsibility to publish MAJCOM
level supplemental guidance to DAFI 21-101 Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management, to
AFMC as the identified servicing MAJCOM.

This Memorandum becomes void after one year has elapsed from the date of this Memorandum,
or upon publication of an Interim Change or rewrite of DAFI 21-101_AFMCSUP, whichever is earlier.
