This instruction implements DAFPD 36-28, Awards Programs, and it consolidates annual awards,
sponsors and participants, provides a single point of reference, and standardizes reporting and
presentation requirements. Email proposed supplements to this instruction to HQ AETC/A1KK
at a1kk.awards.decs@randolph.af.mil for approval before they are published. This publication
does not apply to the Air National Guard (ANG) or Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) units.
For submission of ANG/AFRC award Nominations, route Nominations to the ANG or AFRC
command channels. Attachment 1 contains a glossary of references and support information.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in
accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and
Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW the Air Force Records Disposition
Schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS).
Subordinate units may supplement this instruction. Submit suggested changes to this instruction
on AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication, through command channels, to HQ
AETC/A1KK workflow email. The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this
publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance
statement. See Department of the Air Force Instruction (DAFI) 33-360, Publications and Forms
Management, for a description of the authorities associated with the Tier numbers. The use of the
name or mark of any manufacturer, commercial product, commodity, or service in this publication
