This instruction implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 90-1, Policy, Publications and
DoD Issuance Management and establishes policy and procedures necessary to ensure that
distinguished visitors (DVs) to Air Education and Training Command (AETC) installations are
provided a warm, gracious welcome and to ensure they are able to effectively and efficiently
accomplish their primary purpose during their visit. DVs will receive every consideration
pertaining to appropriate customs, courtesies and respect, and their requirements will be
managed in a courteous and professional manner. This publication applies to all AETC active
duty units including Air University, Second Air Force, Nineteenth Air Force, Air Force
Recruiting Service along with their subordinate wings and direct report groups in addition to the
502d Air Base Wing, the 59th Medical Wing and any tenant units on AETC bases. This
publication also applies to Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC)
unit. This publication may be supplemented at any level, but all direct Supplements must be
routed to the OPR of this publication for coordination prior to certification and approval. Refer
recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary
Responsibility (OPR), HQ AETC/CCP, using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of
Publication. Route AF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate functional chain of
command. Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are
maintained in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and
Information Governance Program and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information
Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Scheduled (RDS). Submit requests for
waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate tier waiver approval authority, or
