This supplement implements and extends the guidance of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 11-2T-38,
Volume 1, T-38 Aircrew Training. This supplement establishes Air Education and Training
Command (AETC) standards for training and qualifying personnel performing duties in the T-38
aircraft. Except for associate instructor programs, this supplement does not apply to the Air
Force Reserve Command (AFRC) or Air National Guard (ANG). See Attachment 1 for a
glossary of references and supporting information. Unless otherwise specified, AETC/A2/3/10 is
the waiver authority for this supplement. Forward proposed unit-level supplements to this
instruction to AETC/A3V for coordination prior to approval. Submit suggested improvements to
this supplement via AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication, through
Stan/Eval channels to AETC/A3VO. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes
prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual (AFMAN)
33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with Air Force Records
Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
