MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: Sergeant Audie Murphy Club Memorandum of Recommendation for SSG
1. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend SSG for induction into the Sergeant Audie
Murphy Club. SSG is a highly skilled warrior and superb leader. She routinely operates in
positions of greater responsibility. SSG is the supply sergeant for the largest company in the
United States Army. The unit has over 2,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and civilians.
She was selected to perform duties normally assigned to a Sergeant First Class. SSG has
mentored and motivated several Soldiers to compete and win the company and battalion Soldier
and NCO boards.
2. SSG is without a doubt the best Staff Sergeant in the Company. She takes the initiative to
complete all tasks to make the unit successful with little or no guidance. I know that once I
assign a mission to SSG Ross, I can rest assured that she will complete it and defer the praise to
her fellow Soldiers.
3. Physically, SSG Ross maintains a 290 and above APFT average and motivates her Soldiers to
work toward earning their APFT Badge. SSG volunteered to supervise the remedial Physical
Fitness Program. Her program has increased the PT score of ten Soldiers. She motivated two
Soldiers to lose enough weight to be removed from the overweight program.
4. SSG embodies the Warrior Spirit that was manifested through Sergeant Audie Murphy
audacious actions over 60 years ago. She is an asset to the United States Army and I have no
doubt that she will represent the club well for the rest of her military career. SSG will serve as
an ambassador and mentor future inductees.
