Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive (DoDD) 5135.02 and the guidance in
DoDD 3020.49, this issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for
operational contract support (OCS), including contract support integration, contracting support,
contractor management, and deployment of defense contractor personnel in applicable operations
outside the United States.
