Center for Cyberspace Research to Host 5th Annual International Conference on
Information Warfare and Security
The Air Force Institute of Technology’s Center for Cyberspace Research will host the 5th Annual International Confer-
ence on Information Warfare and Security. The conference will be held on 8-9 April 2010 and Dr. Michael Grimalia
from AFIT’s Department of Systems and Engineering Management Department is the conference chair. The conference
will be held at the Hope Hotel on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The National Museum of the United States Air Force
will host the traditional conference dinner.

On 7-8 April 2009, the inaugural U.S. Strategic Command Armed Forces
Communications and Electronics Association Cyberspace Symposium
was held in Omaha, NE. AFIT faculty member, Dr. Robert Mills, was a
session leader and addressed issues regarding the key Measures of Per-
formance and Effectiveness for situational awareness in cyberspace op-
erations and how situational awareness in cyberspace can be improved.
Interactive breakout sessions were facilitated by Dr. Mills and the follow-
ing AFIT students: Maj Matthew Larkowski, Maj John Clagnaz, and Maj
Michael Birdwell.
