1. REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE
This Directive:
1.1. Reissues reference (a) to update policies and assign responsibilities.
1.2. Is implemented by reference (b) prescribing the procedures for the nomination,
screening, selection, approval and continued evaluation of DoD military and civilian
personnel, and contractor employees assigned to, or retained in Presidential support
duties.
2. APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE
This Directive:
2.1. Applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Inspector General
of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies and the DoD Field Activities
