Purpose
a.
To promulgate policy for the employment and operations of
Security Forces (SF) in support of Department of the Navy (DON)
commands, activities, and
personnel.
This instruction is a
substantial revision and should be read in its entirety.
b. Significant changes found in this revision include
updated organizational responsibilities for the DON as delegated
in enclosures (2) through (4).

4. Applicability. This instruction applies to the Office of
the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), the Chief of Naval
Operations (CNO), the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC), and
all U.S. Navy (USN) and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) installations,
commands, activities, field offices, and all other
organizational entities within the DON that support SF
Employment and Operations.
