a.
To
provide
policy
and
guidance
for
management
of
the
notification
program
for
military
offenders
currently
or
previously
adjudged
at
a
general
or
special
courts-martial,
or
convicted
by
a
State,
Federal,
or
foreign
court
of
a
sex
offense
or
crime
against
a
minor
for
which
notification
is
required.

designate
those
persons
responsible
for
identifying
offenders
for
whom
sex
offender
notifications
are
required.

perform
notifications
required
by
references

and
(b)

Discussion.
Sex
offenders
were
previously
required
to
register
themselves
with
appropriate
authorities
in
the
locality
where
they
chose

This
requirement
has
been
expanded
to
better
meet
the

of

community.
