Subj: DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
Ref: (a) DoD Manual 5200.02 of 3 April 2017

Encl: (1) Revised Page 2
(2) Revised Enclosure (1), Page 3 through 5
1. Purpose. To issue updates which provide clarification
regarding Alternative Dispute Resolution, updates information
concerning probationary periods for Department of Defense
employees, and deletes language that refers to reference (a).
2. Action. Remove page 2 of the basic instruction and insert
enclosure (1) of the change transmittal. Remove pages 3 through
5 of enclosure (1) of the basic instruction and insert enclosure
(2) of the change transmittal.
3. Records Management. Records created as a result of this
change transmittal, regardless of media and format, shall be
managed per SECNAV M-5210.1 of January 2012.
