RELEASABILITY: There are no releasability restrictions on this publication.
By Order of the Commander, Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), this AFRC Guidance
Memorandum is the second instance of a to-be published supplement to DoDI1035.01_DAFI 36-816,
Telework Program, with the understanding that local labor obligations may need to be completed prior
to its applicability to bargaining unit personnel. This guidance memorandum applies to all members of
the AFRC. Please consult your servicing Civilian Personnel Section regarding any local labor
obligations. Compliance with this Memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its directions are
inconsistent with other AFRC publications, the information herein prevails, in accordance with DAFI
90-160, Publications and Forms Management.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in
accordance with AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and
disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located in the Air Force
Records Management System.
Effective immediately this AFRC GM implements a strategic pause on Squadron CC and
MAJCOM 3-letters authorizing and determining position eligibility on full-time tele/remote work
outside of the local commuting area. Therefore, no change in the official worksite of civilian employees
and full-time status service members is authorized at this time. Please note that this strategic pause will
allow the command to assess the potential resource impacts these decisions may have, allowing us to
best position ourselves for the future.
This Memorandum becomes void after one year has elapsed from the date of this Memorandum,
or upon publishing DODI1035.01_DAFI36-816_AFRCSUP, whichever is earlier.
