This mission directive (MD) implements policy and guidance in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 38-
601, Format and Content of Mission Directives, and AFI 38-101, Air Force Organization. It
delineates the mission, command relationships, and responsibilities of Air Force Reserve
(AFRC) Intelligence Squadrons. It does not apply to Regular Air Force or Air National Guard
units. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are
maintained in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Manual 33-363, Management of Records, and
disposed of IAW the Air Force Records Information Management System Records Disposition
Schedule. Contact supporting records managers as required. Refer recommended changes and
questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using Air Force
Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Forms 847 from the field
through the appropriate functional chain of command. This publication may not be
supplemented or further implemented/extended. The authorities to waive wing/unit level
requirements in this publication are hereby identified as T-2. See AFI 33-360, Publications and
Forms Management, for a description of the authorities associated with the Tier numbers.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver
approval authority.
SUMMARY OF CHANGES
This publication has been revised to update the mission, Attachment 1 and added Tier levels.
1. Mission: Provides trained and ready Citizen airmen to produce timely, tailored intelligence
products by synchronizing and integrating the activities of processing, exploitation and
