Use/Relationship: The Transportation Data Report shall be used by the acquiring activity for
shipment planning purposes.
a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information
for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in the solicitation.
b. This DID is applicable to the acquisition of military systems and equipment.
c. The information contained in this DID should be applied during the Production and
Deployment phases.
d. This DID supersedes DI-PACK-80877A.
Requirements:
1. Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their
approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as
specified in the contract.
2. Format. Contractor format is acceptable.
3. Content. The report shall document, in detail, transportation data on major end items, spare
and repair parts, and ground support equipment and shall include the following:
a. Containerization requirements, if any.
b. Dimensions (length, width and height).
c. Weight.
d. Cube.
e. National motor freight classification (NMFC).
f. Uniform freight classification (UFC) or Standard Transportation Commodity Code (STCC).
g. Less than truckload (LTL) or less than carload (LCL) ratings.
h. Department of Defense (DoD) water commodity and special handling code.
i. DoD air commodity and special handling code.
j. DoD air dimension code.
k. Freight description (noun).
l. Hazardous material (specific identification).
