Description/Purpose
This report contains basic identification data required for packaging development. The report can
be used as a standalone summary to develop adequate packaging instructions for DoD users.
Application/Interrelationship
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content preparation instructions for a
Packaging Development Data Report. This DID is applicable to the acquisition of military
systems and equipment.
This DID supersedes DI-ILSS-81154A
Preparation Instructions
Reference documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their
approval dates and the dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions shall be as
specified in the contract.
Format. The report may be prepared in a contrac tor-selected format so long as it contains the
information required for a Packaging Development Data Report.
Content. The data required for the Packaging Developmental Data Report is contained in
Paragraph 10.3.1 of this DID. These data elements are defined in Appendix A of
GEIA-STD-0007.
