DUTY AND ON THE RESERVE ACTIVE-STATUS LIST

Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02, this issuance:
• Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides direction for the continuation of officers on
the Active-Duty List (ADL) and on the Reserve Active-Status List (RASL).
• Implements Sections 611, 620, 632-637, 637a, 639, 640, 1251, 1253, 3911, 5589, 5596, 6323, 8911,
14002, 14505-14514, 14701, and 14703 of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.), governing
continuation of commissioned officers.
