History. This is a revision change to United States Army Training and Doctrine Command
(TRADOC) Regulation (TR) 600-14 and TR 600-14, Change 1.
Summary. TRADOC Regulation 600-14 and TR 600-14, Change 1, are undergoing a major
revision. This Change 2 publication updates procedures for Soldiers inducted into the Sergeant
Audie Murphy Club within TRADOC. Changes include the name of the regulation; elimination
of requests for honorary TRADOC Sergeant Audie Murphy Awards (SAMA); elimination of
induction as a honorary member in the TRADOC Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC); and
change to 45 day lead time submission of requests for the TRADOC SAMA.
Applicability. This regulation applies to all TRADOC organizations.
Proponent and exception authority. The proponent of this regulation is the Deputy Chief of
Staff (DCS), G-1/4. The TRADOC Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) has the authority to approve
exceptions or waivers to this memorandum that are consistent with controlling law and
regulations. Activities may request a waiver to this regulation by providing justification that
includes a full analysis of the expected benefits and a formal review by the activity’s senior legal
officer. All waiver requests will be endorsed by the senior leader of the requesting activity and
forwarded through the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1/4 (ATBO-BP), 661 Sheppard Place, Fort
Eustis, VA 23604-5744.
