1. Purpose: To Establish security policies and procedures for Automated Data Processing
(ADP) Systems within 214
th
Brigade.
2. Applicability: The policies and procedures set forth in this SOP are applicable to all
military and civilian personnel attached or assigned to 214
th
Brigade.
3. Responsibilities:
a. Commander, 214
th
Brigade
(1) Appoint an officer from within the S2 section to be the 214
th
Brigade Information
System Security Officer (ISSO)
(2) Will be appointed as the Designated Accreditation Authority (DAA) for CS3
material.
(3) Ensure the Brigade ISSO is in compliance with all regulations and standard
operating procedures.
a. Battalion Commanders
(1) Appoint an officer from the battalion S2 or Signal section to be the battalion
ISSO.
(2) Will be appointed as the Designated Accreditation Authority (DAA) for US2/US1
material
(3) Ensure the battalion ISSO is in compliance with all regulations and standard
operating procedures
a. ISSO
(1) Maintain a copy of all applicable orders.
(2) Appoint a TASO for each group of computers as necessary (TASO must have
physical access to computers and the information on them).
(3) Ensure TASOs are in compliance with all regulations and standard operating
procedures.
(4) Conduct Semi-Annual inspections.
(5) Maintain an accurate inventory of all ADP systems within the organization.
(6) Ensure all ADP material are properly accredited.
(7) Ensure personnel receive initial ADP Security Briefing within 30 days of
assignment.
(8) Report to the next higher headquarters ISSO any violation of security measures.
